System recommendations
Play a cartridge in the HitPointsPlus browser frame. A phone plays in its browser, too. No store app is required. These are compatibility targets, not measured hardware requirements or performance certificates.
Desktop
Minimum target
A current Chrome, Edge, or Firefox with WebGL2 enabled; keyboard or touch input; and room for the 320×224 stage at 1×. A controller is optional.
Optimal target
The same browsers, a mouse, a standard gamepad, and a screen with enough play-column space for the stage at 2× (640×448) or 3× (960×672), plus the browser and HitPointsPlus controls.
Phone
Minimum target
A current Chrome, Edge, or Firefox with WebGL2 enabled; on-screen touch or a connected keyboard; and room for the 320×224 stage at 1×. A controller is optional. Open the site and play in that browser, without a store app.
Optimal target
The same browsers, a mouse and a standard gamepad exposed to the browser, and enough play-column space for 2× (640×448) or 3× (960×672). Landscape may provide more room, but the available width and height both have to fit. These sizes are browser layout pixels, not a promise based on a phone's physical pixel count.
Inputs
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Controller: a standard gamepad exposed to the page
- On-screen touch
The current Era Weaver catalog lists keyboard, gamepad, and touch. Mouse is an optimal recommendation, not a measured Era Weaver control claim. The cartridge build is not installed here, so its gameplay and device support have not been tested.
HitPointsPlus already uses the D-pad for page focus, the vertical stick for page scrolling, A to activate, and B to go back outside play. A cartridge handles its own gameplay input. A standard gamepad must be exposed to the browser page for the mapping to work.
Stage and rendering
Era Weaver's declared stage is 320×224. It keeps native 1× pixels and grows in whole-number steps when the play column fits them, without stretching. Fullscreen expands only the play column. A smaller available box does not guarantee that the native stage will fit.
A later cartridge may use WebGL and Three.js inside its frame. WASM is required only if that cartridge ships it. HitPointsPlus will measure frame time before a cartridge leaves 320×224. That measurement is not done; no GPU model or frame-rate result is recommended from measurements that do not exist.
